What is Home and School / School Council?  At West Oaks, parent involvement is represented by two groups, the Home and School Association and School Council.  Parents are welcome to be involved in one or both groups.   Both groups meet on the first Monday each month from 6-7 pm and 7-8 pm (alternating).  Free child care is provided for school age children.

Home and School focuses on parent engagement and fundraising activities to enhance students' learning experiences.  We look after pizza lunch, movie nights, the Read-A-Thon and many more fun activities and fundraisers.

School Council provides advice to the principal and the school board on issues such as school year calendars, strategies to improve school performance, codes of conduct and dress, curriculum priorities, and safe arrival programs. New members and new ideas are always welcome.  Attending one or all meetings is a great way for parents to feel connected to what is going on at the school.  Please feel free to contact us by email at westoakshomeandschool@gmail.com if you have questions.
